Marriage Devotional: Traveling Spouse

Though one may be overpowered,
    two can defend themselves.
A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.
Ecclesiastes 4:12

Dear Heavenly Father,  Thank you so much for the way you love and care for our marriage. Thank you for being the cord that holds us together. Please strengthen my spouse’s confidence in our marriage and partnership while apart. Thank you for the work opportunities that you provide and the skills you gift us. I pray for safe travels for my spouse and a smooth arrival to his destination. Please go ahead of him and prepare hearts for the conversations he will have. I pray that you will give him purpose and joy in his work, even in the mediocracy as well as during moments of stress. I also pray for companionship and that you provide him with other Christian males for support, friendship, and fellowship. While he is away, please help me be disciplined and intentional with my time as well. Please give us both one person that we can share your love with and your Holy Spirit guidence to do so. I ask all these things in Jesus’s name. AMEN.
