Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for loving so much! In all our brokenness, in all the disappointing ways we hurt each other, you are ready to redeem us in our surrender. Thank you for creating me with the passions and fight for equality, justice, and mercy. Thank you for teaching me to forgive by forgiving and loving me first. I pray you guide and teach me when to be still and when to move; when to be silent and when to shout; when to stand firm and when to march. I pray that I fulfill the purpose you created me for in ways that brings you glory. I pray for continued strength, integrity, and discipline to continue moving forward.
In Jesus’s name, I pray these things. Amen.

Let love and faithfulness never leave you;
bind them around your neck,
write them on the tablet of your heart.
Then you will win favor and a good name
in the sight of God and man.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight.
I was reminded yesterday of a time that I wasn’t getting my way when I was trying to take some time to be still with God. So many distractions were thrown at me that it was pretty obvious I wasn’t where I was supposed to be. All I could do is laugh, look up, and ask “What are you trying to tell me here?” Read more
Above all else, guard your heart,
for everything you do flows from it.
But who can discern their own errors?
Forgive my hidden faults.
Keep your servant also from willful sins;
may they not rule over me.
Then I will be blameless,
innocent of great transgression.
May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart
be pleasing in your sight,
Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.

The man who finds a wife finds a treasure,
and he receives favor from the Lord.
A quarrelsome wife is like the dripping
of a leaky roof in a rainstorm;
restraining her is like restraining the wind
or grasping oil with the hand.
She [A wife of noble character] speaks with wisdom,
and faithful instruction is on her tongue.
She watches over the affairs of her household
and does not eat the bread of idleness.
[Husbands] Honor her for all that her hands have done,
and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.

Do you not know?

The Lord is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
and his understanding no one can fathom.
He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.
Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;
but those who hope in the Lord
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:28-31
